Community Resource Centre, a program that is funded by the WA State Government to provide services to the community such as internet and banking, however as technology has progressed the need for computers has lessened. The Community Resource Centre houses the HR division of the organisation, provides the services for the community and is currently operating an internet café, a small business enterprise that has commenced to provide coffee, smoothies, pancakes and salads for those that want something a little healthier, providing healthy choices.
We also run our own print shop, capable for printing cups, plates, tshirts and making high quality photographs for framing. The print shop has also commenced to print all the organisations uniforms so we don’t have to get them done in Broome. The Community Resource Centre is becoming self sufficient and we predict in a few years time there will be small businesses that have been spawned by the activity in this space.
